DTS export duplicate mesh

I am exporting a rigged and weighted character mesh, named body2. When I export, in the shape editor it shows up fine except for the fact that there is a duplicate mesh hiding behind the main mesh. When I move or rotate the nodes, the main mesh works with the rig like normal but the other mesh stays where it is. Does this have something to do with detail levels? I made a duplicate of the body, named it body128, renamed body2 to body64, but the end result was the same.
