Blender Vs. trueSpace 7

Hey all,
I'm just starting out with 3d modeling and I could use some advice. Basically I'm stuck between trueSpace and Blender. I have minimal experience with both but I find trueSpace easier to wrap my head around (I think it's the super simple interface).
What would you guys recommend?

Thanks for the advice.
edit: Almost forgot, I'm using T3D. How do the collada exporters work? I've heard that some people can't get them to work right.

I find the truespace interface much easier to use for sure, but I think they set it up to be friendly to new users. Up until last night I found the Blender UI to be daunting (borrowed a friend's tutorial dvd from Lynda Online Training). It's starting to make sense and I think I'll end up going with Blender. From what I can tell it seems more powerful in the long run for me.Thanks for the advice.

Blender's UI is ... somewhat unintuitive ... to be polite.
But after you read through the docs and get a grasp of it's technicalities, it's actually not a bad little modeling program.
Never tried Truespace so alas, cannot make a comparison.
Collada exporters ... they seem to have a funny setup for getting a DTS in the end ... I know that there is one brave soul on the case here.
However the standard DTS exporter for Blender is good and has it's own site. jsgreenawalt.com/

It's still a little overwhelming but at least it's starting to make sense bit by bit.

I'm definitely leaning towards blender. I think truespace was nice to get my feet wet but I've been playing around with the interface in Blender and I think I've got it set up nice and pretty like. Now that the keyboard shortcuts are starting to stick in my head I'm having a much easier time with it too. It's still a little overwhelming but at least it's starting to make sense bit by bit.
