Art Pipeline Questions (DIF/DTS, Torque Constructor, trueSpace 7)

Hey folks,
I saw a video today for SketchUp and it reminded me of Constructor. I now have a fresh install of Constructor 1.06 sitting on my HD just waiting to get used. I know it does dif's and from what I've been reading dif's don't perform as well as dts's do in T3D; but I have an easier time wrapping my head around CSG than I do other forms of modeling. So what I'm trying to get at is if there's a way to build something in constructor as a dif then convert it to a dts for T3D?
If not, just curious what everyone uses to make their buildings? I've recently started using trueSpace 7 and for objects and people it's not going too badly.
This started off as a basic fish from a tutorial for tS7 but I decided to keep going when the tutorial ended.

Just started an M.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering during which I'll be investigating the use of Agent Based Models in the field of Epidemiology. Aside from that, trying to get my first indie project off the ground and having a blast doing it.
