MilkshapeBlends will be my attempt at documenting how I finally got DSQ blends working to get some new weapon holding poses implimented for the default player . Afterwards; it seemed a simple solution, but I'd struggled at it right after completing my research into getting additional Nodes added without disturbing the set Transforms of the default DTSPlus! rig. I had been following some setup steps from earlier documents in the Max section stating the Blend Reference frame was broken and to setup the animation in a certain way, namely with the root reference pose first then each extreme UP/DOWN pose next. I always ended up with the root pose returning at the middle of the sequence[when looking straight ahead], or it not taking any of my new pose at all, to having it work, just not as a blend??? I tried a lot of ways until getting a simple 4 step procedure that finally got the results I expected and desired.
