Plan for Jeremy Alessi

OK, it's officially a great game concept. I put some non-FPS playing people up to a little battle and they had great fun. I figured the game would appeal to people outside the 'hardcore' FPS crowd because the concept is simple and straight forward. Additionally, the game takes skill ... but I think I found that magic spot which I've been searching for ... it's easy to play and it's difficult to master.

A total nOOb (both my testers this evening) can come in and get a good shot off and blow someone off the mountain into a spinning ragdoll fray heading as they fall toward the ground 200 ft below. A skilled player though can keep someone against the ropes and also nail people out of the air as they are coming back. So the nOOb will get some good shots off and knock people off ... but the skilled player will capitalize on another player double jumping back from their fall toward the death zone and knock them back from where they came ... and it deepens from there ...

I'm sure this applies to everyone here but nothing makes me happier than seeing people enjoy my games. I just get all kinds of happy when people are playing them and laughing or even getting intense ... it just makes me go nuts! Honestly, I don't think I've seen people have this much fun with a design of mine.

True-Vol was the closest (multiplayer here) ... unfortunately, it didn't have the direct simple intensity to make it golden. The game only got interesting when you got two people who knew what they were doing ... going at it. Noob's would just get in front of each other and shoot until one person was 'iced'.

King of the Mountain ... keeps people constantly moving, jumping, etc... everyone's trying to get the perfect angle to knock other players off. At this time the best solution, although hard to pull off, is to fire at someone's feet to get them in the air and then shoot them in the head as they are in the air off the edge which knocks them straight down the side of the mountain. That's particularly tricky to pull off but it's very rewarding ;)

This game will be at IGC this year! Everyone's got to make it! Nothing will be better than watching a whole LAN of people knocking each other around ;)
