Woo! Outpost Kaloki won the Sim Game of the Year award at GameTunnel!
So, a few things:
1. We're very happy about this. The folks at Game Tunnel are intelligent, discerning, and inexplicably attractive. I'd like to thank all the people who were critical in making this dream a reality, especially my parole officer, my personal friend Charles Babbage, and Miss June 2004.
2. We're working on a bunch of the suggestions we've gotten here and other places for making the game more buyable. A new build we're putting up next week (I hope) should address a few things, including a better sales pitch when the game is closed.
3. The Mac version is temporarily on hold. :( It has been taking longer than we had hoped (though, I swear, it's almost done) and we got busy with another project.
-- stay

Well done on the award!

I remember Jay Moore (I think) talking about 2004 being "the year of the indie." I think it happened. Not that this is to say each year can't get better, but it sure felt like a lot of things really began to gel this year. And there's been a lot of terrific indie titles that have hit the virtual store shelves this year, Outpost Kaloki among them.
Great job, guys!
