Making a Comeback Game Scene & A Game Relaunch

Well, I'm coming back. Some of you might remember my activity on GarageGames.com. I would post resources and comment in the forums and on blogs, but I would mostly ask questions. :)
For the past year, I've gotten away from game development to pursue some open source development on the Mozilla web browser. Since my target programming career isn't in video games, I decided that I needed more experience developing on non-game software. Although I certainly enjoyed a refreshing break from the game side of programming, I certainly miss it, and I am making a return to it for hobby purposes.
What really pushed me to make this comeback was my registering a business. I finally made the trip down to my local court and registered for a business licenses. Of course this gives me the freedom to sell my products online, and in turn gives me even more incentive to publish my products to the world.
Speaking of selling products online, you might have noticed that the title of this blog included the words "A Game Relaunch." Some of you might remember that last year, I launched a free game called Dollar Dash. Well, I decided to actually sell the game on my own website for a very low price to help offset the cost of developing it. To my surprise, another game was recently released on the Xbox Live Arcade called Dollar Dash, and since I didn't have any rights to the name, I decided to simply rename it Gold Dash.
You can buy the game on my website here: phaseshiftsoftware.com/gold-dash. It only costs $1 and it is extremely fun. Keep in mind that this is a simply a relaunch of the old Dollar Dash that I had released for free, so for those of you who already downloaded Dollar Dash when I released it last year, you don't have to buy this game. But if you want to support my business by buying it, feel free. :)
Thanks to the GarageGames community, I was able to learn how to effectively use Torque 2D, and was able to finally finish, release, and now sell a game.
If you buy it, I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for the welcome back. I certainly hope my game does bring me in a little bit of profit, but even if it doesn't, my development won't stop. :)
In fact, I am working on another game already, although I plan on coding this one from scratch. I can't wait until Torque 2D is open sourced, then maybe I can integrate some of its code into my game as well.

You will love playing with T2D. I saw a short demo and it was about 6 or 7 megabytes and had a one single platform type level with physics.
Good to see you back!

Glad to see you back. You have done some really good work and I am happy that you are in the the zone again. As for your game, good deal! I am thrilled that more developers are pushing for commercial success. We need more risk takers in this community. (even though we all are), However, some of us don't need things like Kickstarter, or other crowd funded projects to succeed. We can make it on our merits. This is a good thing. I am happy to see it. In fact I am doing something similar, all my art packs and stuff go to funding a project that I have never commented or blogged about. I especially like this line in your 'about' section "teenage programmer who tries to finish the projects he starts". This is the thing this community needs! Again, glad you are back.
