Honing My Concept Art Skills

by David Mac · 06/09/2012 (8:03 am) · 9 comments

Over the past couple of weeks I have been striving to improve my 2d concept art and digital painting skills. I thought I would share a couple of pieces. The creatures were fairly easy by comparison to the human. I could make the creatures any way I wanted, the human took a couple of days because it had to look recognizably... Human!

If you like the work, please keep me in mind for your project(s) as well! I'm usually up for a bit of freelance work.

That greyhound-eagle is amazing! Love the concept. The others are well-drawn, too.

Thanks Daniel! It's my flightless griffin. But you are correct in that my reference material for it included eagles and greyhounds (and a few other beasts).

Thanks for the kind word!

Hey, Stick Soldier 1 & 2 seemed to do quite well with just stick figures!
