When work interrupts your hobbies...

So its been months since i've even seen my game code. Months since I've event touched Photoshop, and 3ds max. It's really a grind session at work and I'm starting to miss the thrill of the development life.
I've really missed the community and I just saw a post someone posted on my rewrite to the player object. I forgot that this was the last thing I was even working on for my game. It just reminded be of the fun I've had since starting the project. And even though I've been distracted with having 2 awesome kids and mostly being a slave at work I find it refreshing to see so many people posting about their individual successes. You all inspire me. I hope to jump back in to Torque soon.
To every Indie Heart in the community.
Thank You!
And I'll be back soon.

Look at it this way, you have a job, you have a family, you are already extremely lucky. So cherish them because your family and loved ones are the most important thing in the end.
And if you have some free time you may get back to game programming.
Luck!

I got into the same hole so many times. But on the end, that's why we are indies... we do everything at our own pace!!!Look at it this way, you have a job, you have a family, you are already extremely lucky. So cherish them because your family and loved ones are the most important thing in the end.

I just got back to keep some sanity. I've been away for several years and feel like I have to re-learn some of this stuff all over again. Last week, I was able to gear up again on Torque.Welcome back!

I myself just got back to the community. Being a single father raising two teen daughters plus a full time job does not leave much time for hobbies. I just recently read an ebook that made me realize that I can still have time for my hobby. So I adjusted the way I have been doing things and found I have several hours a week that I can spend toward learning and making a level or game. Welcome back!
