FoHO moves forward... with Torque

I did go out and test other technologies the last two weeks, even before the news hit. I wanted to look at what it would take to move FoHO to be web-based. Totally nothing against Torque products, I just think the future is web-based. My kids play a alot of web-based games. That quickness to load and get going is almost a generation necessity. Plus I am already using a 10 year old engine, and no web-based app would put me doubly behind :) So figured, I would atleast check things out.
Only a couple real options for going web-based. While the pricing is better, Shiva's lack of resources would require a considerable more amount of coding. As a non-coder, that is quite a problem. It also didn't have as good of networking options, so I spent most of my time researching Unity. Definitely more doable, but would require a complete rewrite of game logic into C# with server-side arbitration methods. Ah, did I mention I wasn't a coder? Actually I think I could implement a few features, but never nothing compared to what I have now.
Then the news hit. While, I am not totally invested into T3D like many others, since my main game is TGE based and I already have a stable game that I am not relying on updates for the news was not as scary. I would love someday to have the FoHO Advanced(T3D) option which still might be doable with current technology, but it isn't a show stopper for me. So having to switch from Torque was never an option based on what is going on.
But after researching options, I would never achieve the amount of features I have already implemented. I already have a fully functioning MMO with character customization, realms, RvR, PvE, guilds, merchants, pets, crafting, moderator controls, single player options, web/game integration, item mall, etc... It isn't perfect and still has some bugs, but I know the technology and can continue adding to it. To ever achieve that by myself from scratch would never happen. But still, FoHO in a web-browser, ah, that'd be the bomb. I can only hope that maybe the IA streaming technology gets merged with the new buyers and my choice to stay would be doubly justified. If not, I still know I have the technology to complete my game, where as moving over, I don't know if I would ever succeed.
I always let everybody in, so decided to just post the download and info publicly. It will still stay in Closed Beta incase I do need to close it. Download and more information can be found here:

And I hope you have managed to make some time and find and debug some of those problems which were plaguing your beta.Looks good!

Yep, spent last 4 years working on it :)
@Guimo,
Not sure if the random crashing issue is fixed. Just implemented another patch and waiting on feedback. I think the crashing is related to the C++ source change needed to increase the mountable objects past 8.
Only other major issue is a mesh hiding texture issue that happens after an illusion. Need to fix it though if I have to move all my mountable armor to mesh hiding.

I don't understand what you mean with mesh hiding texture after an illusion. Care to explain a little more... mmmmm... 100 character bug... send me a mail to guimo at spritekin dot com and maybe I can throw a hint. No promises.
