DayOfWar : Onward and forward

I will be concentrating on the ship animations and control scheme for a while to flesh out the game play for the game.
Here is a quick video of what I have so far.
It is pretty basic at the moment.
Not at all happy with the particle effect for the jets.
I will likely replace the particles with an animated shader effect.
The dropship is a medium assault craft that will have a chaingun , rockets and bombs. I originally called it a scout but I have another model that I will be using for the scout/light assault ship.
The video briefly shows the targeting HUD and a stationary turret firing at the ship.
The HUD will be a key element to game play.
As the play area is very large it is easy to get lost when trying to navigate from one location to another.
The control layout I am testing with is optimized for a controller, a XBOX 360 controller. You can still use the keyboard and mouse but I find the vehicle style gameplay is more suited for a control pad.
On a different note I have setup a donation method if anyone feels inclined to give some support. It should appear at the top of any page at DayOfWar.com.
