This is an awesome blog. A lot of things are indeed taken for granted, and it's interesting to think that one day suddenly makes us aware of all of it. I wish the best of luck to you, your dad, your house, and your quest for iTorque :)God bless

Nice blog Matt. Its not always easy to stop and look around and realize what an amazing place the world is today and how much there is to be thankful for. I hope you get your copy of iTorque soon. With your attitude I think you have the most important ingredient for success already.

I'll pitch in if need be. I think maybe Matt might need a little help more than some of us right now.

After reading this blog I simply say that we will make an iphone game. We are about to release our first game which is called "Perished" which hasn't been properly announced but it will be released very soon with an offical announcement. So look out for games made by Modern Day Industies as we will be using torque for awhile and we are all under 18.
I don't want to move to far away from the topic of the blog so well done matt and it is a pleasure working with you :)

When I was really young I wish I had all the tools and the motivation you have right now! Now go and make a great game and when you succeed try helping other people to fulfill their dreams.
Luck and I'm eager to see those games coming.

You have a very noble trait in wanting to help your dad out with making iPhone/iPod games, but please remember this. Give him the best help you can right now, your emotional support. This time could be hard on you, but believe me when I say its much harder on him. I did everything I could to avoid this, even disappearing from here for a few months while I worked my programming job during the day and then washing dishes in a restaraunt at night, all to try to keep the roof over our head. Unfortunately it was too little too late. But my wife and family stood beside me and kept telling me it was going to be ok, and I'm so thankful for that. So please do that for him. It'll help him out a million times more than money can.
I'm also going to be doing something similar to you. I'm taking a step back and hoping to get going with some web-based games with Flash and Flex, that way I'll be able to get us on our feet faster and then upgrade to T3D for my real dreams to come true.
Good luck Matt and I wish you all the success in the world in the App Store.

I'm sorry for your situation Matt, I can relate with you a lot. I'm going through the same thing, only come January 1st, my time is up and me and my wife most move out of the house we bought together, called our own, and started raising our daughter in. Its rough, but fortunately we have somewhere to go until we get back on our feet and my wife gets over her medical problems. You have a very noble trait in wanting to help your dad out with making iPhone/iPod games, but please remember this.
