Sprite dump, Part I

This is going to be the first of several blogs that display some recent sprite-work in a variety of different styles.

I'll post some of the odds and ends first.
I've spent quite a bit of time earlier this year working on overhead sprite animations. Below is a simple overhead walk cycle, belonging to a sprite created for an unpublished tactical RPG. Right under it is something a little more elaborate; some animation tests for a sprite created out of hand-drawn parts.

Next up is a retro sprite that I've had the pleasure of creating concept art for, as well. This is still something of a work in progress. I'm including some image maps and an up-sized version of one of the attack frames. As always, C&C is more than welcome!

That's all for today. I'll probably throw another batch of animated stuff up sometime next week or so.

I am still offering concept quickpaints starting at $5, and sprites starting at $2.50 per frame. More work is always a good thing!

Anyone who's interested can check out instructions on how to hire me in my first blog post (www.garagegames.com/community/blogs/view/16429.)

Once again, thanks for taking a look.

what are you making your sprites in?

For the most part, they're drawn in Photoshop and animated in ImageReady.
