And a few remarks

This contest is being offered by Bitgap Games with the sole purpose of seeing more of what you can make with Torque.

We hope that other content providers will follow suit by starting similar contests and offering their products as prizes.

The goal of this is to show off Torque to the world! While we have limited resources to offer, we hope it will be successful and we will see some pretty screenshots in the coming days.

Thank you for reading through. Be sure to voice your questions and thoughts on this!

Good luck, and keep the screenshots coming!

Hi guys, top down multiplayer shooter I'm working on, done in T3D. Hope I win so I can get some real player models in and make this project something! :)

I haven't converted our project over to T3D yet but I've been doing some experimenting. I'm pulling the trigger on T3D as soon as AFX for T3D becomes available.

Here's a little screenshot of a house that is inexplicably in the middle of a foot of water:

This image is part of my art pipeline test in T3D, the aim was to create a concept art feel with good atmosphere.

@GohanX: Your account does not seem to own a Torque license. According to the rules, you can not compete unless you own a license to the product you worked with.

I'll need to stick to these rules, since you could be someone who has previously submitted another entry or is planning to submit more entries. Connecting contest entry to licenses is a way of making sure that one contestant competes only with one entry.

I'm sorry, but I can't let your entry compete in the contest. I hope you understand.

No need to apologize at all. Great picture, btw. Shows well how much can be done with the demo version.

@Helk... Nice shot! I love top down shooters. I'm currently helping on one with TGEA too. Lots of fun...

Check out Jason Culwell's work...his projectiles are pretty sweet! on youtube

As for a screenshot...well, ported my game to T3D, this is still in prototype, ...for the better part of two years... making a RPG by one's self is killer hard!!!
as the story line goes there will eventually be a ghost over the water that points to the sealed door.

Hey guys, thanks for the submissions so far.

@Mike Rowley: Please rescale your image so it is 700x400 pixels. Maybe crop the middle? Thanks!

@Night Hawk: Really cool! Can you make another shot from a different angle, so we see that the fighters are in the game? They look awesome, but the lighting looks strange on them. Maybe it's just my eye, but I need to make sure, because entries need to be screenshots (and can't be photoshopped and such). I'm just making sure and stay fair with others. I hope you understand. Many thanks!

@J: Thanks for rescaling your image. But it still isn't 700x400 pixels. :)

Many thanks for the contributions to the contest! Keep them coming, only 2 more days left! :)

Sure, The craft was to dark so I added a light in front to show their detail.

Edit:
Images removed as requested. I shall go with the origional post.

Awesome, thanks. Please now leave only one shot that you'd like to compete with in this thread. Thank you again.

Just a short clarification: until the contest is closed, you are free to modify or replace your entry. All I ask is that by the time the contest is closed, only have one entry and make that 700x400 pixels.

Thanks!

This is a screenshot of my prototype game. It's a racing game that took place in the year 1928 in my home town. I love to make 3D worlds with Torque. I hope you like it.

@JANR
I would love to see your remake in action. I loved Archon!!!!

I was a huge Archon fan too - on the Commodore 64!

JANR, you could name it something else, or get in touch with the studio who has the licenses (Wikipedia) and work something out. It's definitely worth a try, don't you think?
