Hello developers
I didn't knew why the preview won't work until I noticed the top page message You are not allowed to post more than one blog per day, 2.6 hours left. Not even 24 hours since my last update! And I really plan updates up until the end of this experiment :)
I am done with the base level mesh layout and texturing and will move to populating the scene with a couple of props. The tile suggestion actually works well and makes sense, so, thank you Zoidy. The floor will be covered with a bunch of cables and some more debris so it should look fine in the end.
I've worked on it this weekend and I am a little tired looking at it so moving to a new scene for modeling the props should give me a break and a fresh eye when I return.
The next step is quite easy, adding cabinets and some abandoned furniture there. Next Tuesday I plan on working on the thing itself and have the work done so far exported and all the normal / specular maps created by then.

I did a quick test run for size in Torque and it looks something like this.

Thank you for reading, feel free to comment

Nice work! It makes me think of STALKER, you've built up some great atmosphere. Can't wait to see what the Thing is... or what you're going to show of it ;).

To say the least, I am surprised you are back, and even more surprised you are back at Torque. But either way, your above work is taking shape nicely. You always were great with atmosphere. Nice work.
