The threads are booming. Wow the threads a place I tread but am useless so I don't comment much at all. There are so many beautiful shots some shown for points some just in example but awesomeness is among us! There are so many Torque3D users I virtually see a new face everyday!

For the love of money! doh! I meant for the love of spending money!

I agree with your blog title 100%. I still haven't had a lot of time to dig into T3D yet, outside of a couple of days spent working on a Linux port because I was very curious how hard that would be. Alas I ran out of time to even finish that yet. But my initial impressions are extremely Woot Woot!

They have definitely made amends for the long painful road that was the TSE/TGEA development process.

I'm dying to get to the point where I can start porting our game over to T3D.

Also, awesome game art. I always enjoy your blogs. Keep 'em coming.

OmegaDog, you guys are *more* than welcome. Appreciate the kind words all the same. We really wanted to over deliver in every way with Torque 3D. We're obviously aware that the TSE / TGEA dev plan wasn't executed well (too little, mostly too late) and we want to make amends wherever we can.

The really cool part is that even though we're nearing the 1.0 milestone, for all the super-fast development you're seeing going into Torque 3D, the pace is actually continually accelerating. We're going to be blazing into 2010 and you won't believe what we have in store.

Amazing what can be accomplished with focus, no? Stick with us. We're just getting started.

From what I've seen, that's an Understatement. :-)

Great blog Omega. I sure wouldn't want to face that character in real life. :-D

Amazing work as usual Omega!

Do you create all of your own concept art and models? I have always wondered.... I wish I had your drive and skills. Your work is really solid.

I am looking forward to your next blog already and good luck with the site.

OD, I completely agree with you. I've already said this, but I really feel like Alice in Wonderland.

Not only do I have the perfect tools in my hands now through Torque 3D, I'm learning AAA game dev science at lightspeed - thanks to all the great guys on the Torque 3D forums, who commit much of their time to help us. I can personally thank Tom Spilman - he's probably spent more time with answering my questions than actually writing the features the questions were about in the first place.

Over-delivery? Oh, definitely. Torque 3D will still be a steal even at its full price. These are great times! :)

And OD.. the character looks amazing! Give some credit to your artists! :) They do incredible work.

@Gerald - Thanks and I hope to see your stuff in action soon!

@Brett - That's awesome news to hear!

@Steve - 2048x2048 for T3D 1024x1024 for TGEA and the comparison shots are (well after 6 damns) almost identical.

To Clarify: These are Good Damns!
1 Damn) No Collada
2 Damn) Old object inspector/creator
3 Damn) I forgot all the material naming
4 Damn) 1024x1024 Tex Limit and/or No .TGA support
5 Damn) Had to apply a shader to get SPEC map
6 Damn) Forgot about the alt key for rotation

@Szzg007 - Thanks, Soon as I get it rigged I will send it.

@Mike - Thanks and I agree 100% with your comment! GG all the way!

@deadm4n - Thanks, Its my dream but all work is done by paid artists. ATF_PAK I must not be since it not ringing any bells!

@Javier - Great to hear, but I am no master its something that the Chinese to English translator keeps using!

@Matt - ROFL and Thanks

@Konrad - Thanks And I agree 100% Tom Spilman, Pat Wilson, true masters! "Torque 3D will still be a steal even at its full price" Fo Sho! some will have to see the polys flying before they believe! Did you notice the Spunk in Beta5 it feels so much AAA the mouse/camera/render seems like it straight out of a polished Quake Title!

@eb - Thanks and I am sorry I have updated the list above It was a late nighter and I went brain dead!

@Novack - LMAO

Oh, we have been too busy to export it, due to some company changes, But we have let GG borrow it to let them showcase it at GDC. They may post screen shots of it running in T3D later.
