I relased today a new racing game for the iPhone / iPod Touch called "Big Fun Racing". BFR is all about stunt racing where you race against time to collect coins in various stunt levels. Built upon the NVidia PhysX physics engine this racing game brings great driving physics to the iPhone / iPod Touch. Big Fun Racing has 50 built-in tracks for you to drive in 4 difficulty modes, from easy to ultra hard and additionally there is an "Internet Tracks" game mode where you can download new tracks directly to your device and play those tracks, even when you are offline!

The idea for the game came up in late november last year and from beginning of december to early january I produced this game with some vehicle art help by Aaron "Targos" Cross (Deepwater 3d). It was quite an interesting challenge to get some descent vehicle physics working on the phone due to the hardware constraints, but really a good learning experience. After I had the initial game flow ready I was down to 14 fps and started a very long optimization phase with the result beeing back at 28 fps after all optimizations got applied.
Please find here 2 YouTube videos and some screenshots (the static shots don't judge the game honstly). :-)
Best

Thanks. No, I used Unity (unity3d.com) for the game.

Looks good Martin. Do you get a web plugin for the unity iphone engine? so I can demo your game online?

I'm preparing a web version of the game, but it's not quite ready yet. I'm planning to offer the webbrowser version to publishers like shockwave, zapak.com and alike.
