And so it continues... Project Shadow (screenshots)

I can't believe it's been this long since my last blog post on here (Jul 2006). Just ported over to TGEA 1.7.1, coming from 1.0.3. Still a lot to work out, including porting to 1.8.0 once everythings settled down a bit. The game is still in its early stages, but is quite playable. As usual, we're working on getting everything functioning, and then turning our focus to making things look nice; but what the hell, here's some recent shots:

I know, it's the Station from the T3D demo, but it sure looks nice with screen-space ambient occlusion.

Here's a couple older ones (TGEA 1.0.3)

Our site's been overhauled a bit too.

Very nice. Looks very refined, only thing is that those night screenshots look almost too dark. There is just enough light to be able to see what's going on though from what I can tell def. sets the mood.

Thanks for the kind words. A few older (1.0.3) shots have been added above.

The darkness in the first shots must be the monitors you're using, it's pretty moody, but everything's still very visible. I noticed on my work LCD I can hardly see anything but on my Acer X193w at home (really bright) everything's crystal clear. Guess we have to make sure we have gamma settings to ensure the perfect playing experience. :)

Can you say Halo? :D It's looking brilliant - I barely recognised the station in that first shot it's in. Looks like you need to adjust the bias on the SSAO a little, though.

Actually, that atmosphere is nothing like Halo... very dark, and very beautiful. The menus just reminded me of Halo a lot.
