Hi everyone for my first Blog post I would like to popularize my new website www.torquetutorials.110mb.com Right now I am compiling all the Torque related tutorials and some other modeling ones I can find scatterd across the internet to one site. I would also like to create some of my own.
When I was learning Torque (still am) I always wanted a site that had just tons of Torque related Tutorials so that is why I'm making it. TDN is good but I dont know it just doesnt seem so very well put together. Its easy enough to find stuff but I thought I'd compile all the other Torque tutorials to 1 site.
So if anyone has any feedback or sudgestions I would love to hear also I realy need more tutorials so if you know of any good ones please let me know. Right now I realy need some Constructor Tutorials cant find any of those. Also If anyone knows of a good converting XSI into Torque dts I need one of those!
Thanks everyone for your help I appreciate it so much!!

I'd rather put those hours of work on TDN. There are already too many places for documentation.

Ya no kidding, its a real mess with all the random Torque docs floating around on the internet. Plus if there are corrections to be made or things that can be expanded upon with the documentation it can be done much easier on TDN.

I'd agree with App and Logan, it's just another external resource that could be abandoned and unmaintained this time next week/month/year. Compile the list on a TDN page if anything and the community can maintain it.

TDN is being revitalized, and is the official means of community doc submission.
However, if you are able to grab a decent amount of tutorials on your site, I will peak in from time to time. Once you have a good collection, I'll link to your site from our official landing pages and might start asking for help with converting the docs into our official system.

Note that the links Steve posted are already listed on the Artist Landing Page I'm using to consolidate tutorial links.TDN is being revitalized, and is the official means of community doc submission.

I just thought that it would be nice to have all the tutorials scattered across the web all on one page which TDN does not do!!!
So all you ungrateful people just use your TDN yes TDN is awesome but it doesnt include all the Torque tutorials scattered across the web!!!

TDN is simply a staging area. I'm using the Landing Pages here on GarageGames.com, which is the easiest and most obvious place to consolidate tutorials. Yes, tutorials have been scattered all over. Part of that problem was tutorials and docs being created and hosted on 3rd party websites.
Ungrateful is not a very accurate word to use. There is nothing wrong with your intent. I love that you want to help the community! =) I'm trying to pass on what I've learned in the five years I've been a part of this community.
Again, I'm not trying to put down your intention or your concept. I just want anyone who sees this blog to realize that I'm doing the exact same thing. The difference is that my process is streamlined, permanent and already in place. If people start submitting new tutorials to your site instead of here, then we are just doomed to face the same problems again.

@Jaren - I really hate to sound like I'm arguing, but when I announced my role as Documentation Engineer at GarageGames, one of the things I promised to do was locate and consolidate Torque tutorials. TDN is simply a staging area. I'm using the Landing Pages here on GarageGames.com, which is the easiest and most obvious place to consolidate tutorials. Yes, tutorials have been scattered all over. ok so I cant find any place on TDN were there is a bunch of Torque tutorials from across the web in a nice easy to read list I just thought TDN was a place to post your Tutorials and edit others and stuff. I just made www.torquetutorials.110mb.com to compile all the tutorials scattered on tons of different website avalible from 1 site!! By no means do I want people posting there own Tutorials on my sight! NO I just have all the ones from 3rd party sights that could be useful for people just starting into Torque.
The main reason for this is cause when I first started Torque I couldnt for the life of me find a website with just a whole bunch of Torque related tutorials besides TDN which was a lifesaver! thanxs alot for all your great work on that =) But I thought this would help a little and yes if you want I can shut the site down and make a list of all the Sites I find On TDN. =)
Again sorry for the bad response Im just trying to help =)

You don't have to shut the site down. I said in my first post in this blog that if you keep getting links, I'll be looking in from time to time. Once you get a good set going, I'll start linking to your page and the tutorials as well. Behind the scenes, I'll be archiving the tutorials in case something happens to them. That's my main priority, is to make sure those links and the content found within are preserved. If your list gets large enough, I can copy the links over to TDN in organized categories. Check out TGB's section on TDN for an example.
My only reason for chiming in a second time was to let others who read this blog know that TDN is getting a face lift and much desired attention. It's a long process, but I'm reversing the negative thoughts held against Torque Documentation and TDN.
Good luck with the site!

I'm very happy you and others are helping out. I can certainly use all the help I can get =)You don't have to shut the site down. If you play it fair, you might get additions from those very authors to your site directly once you reach a critical mass in traffic and content.
All else: I'm in favor of the idea. A few non-Garagegames sites that are popular might do wonders.

I would advise some caution. I like the idea of having a lot of tutorials on the same site, but make sure you have the author's express permission BEFORE copying material. Even in this sort of things, copying a webpage without asking isn't only rude, it's also copyright infringement. If you play it fair, you might get additions from those very authors to your site directly once you reach a critical mass in traffic and content.

Yea maybe I should organize the tutorials a bit more like sub categories like Scripting, Mission Editing, ect.

If I may suggest a couple which really helped me in the early days:
Lowpolycoop: Basics with Blender and DTS
Dingo Aus vids: More Blender and DTS
There's loads more but they do keep popping out of existence.
Oh, and this lad has been making a whole load of Constructor tutorials.
