Sleepless

by Nathan Kent · 09/22/2008 (11:46 am) · 7 comments

After getting annoyed with my laptop going into sleep mode during long downloads or file conversions, and being to lazy to change the power options every time I started one, I wrote a small program (four lines!) to keep the laptop from going to sleep.

I only found programs like this for Macs, but I'm sure that there are better solutions to this problem. Source code included, and I don't care what you do with the code, even though it says that it's copyrighted.

Info:
Mem Usage -> Approx 964 K
CPU -> Less than 1%
Executable Size -> 7 KB
Source Code -> Yes

Note: Because I can't get it to upload here, it's hosted at MediaFire: Link!

if your using windows you can just change settings in: control panel > power options and fixing some of the options in the screensaver (might be some there in some cases).

Dangit! Can't get it to upload! I'll keep trying, but I might have to post the code.

@Mikael -> Because that takes longer than double clicking on a program, and you wont kill your batteries if you forget to change the power settings back.
