3dsmax to Constructor to TGEA DIF
I just wanted to show off a small little piece
I created using 3dsmax9 and a really cool little
Tool by Ryan Mounts
Shot 1 - Convex Structure Designed in 3ds Max

Shot 2 - Shows 3ds Max Lighting Multi/Sub Material Prior to Baking in
Im prettry sure I used 6 Materials that were eventually rendered to 1 texture.
Shot 3 - Exported .CSX file through Max2Ctor opened in Constructor.
You can see that constructor lighting is really overexposing
the Object.

Shot 4 - In Game, Dif exported from Constructor. Baked in Lighting. And
one extra light for effect.

This process is pretty Rock Solid. I've experimented with a lot of pieces.
Some pieces cause trouble were the Player can Fall through the floor.
I'm currently in the middle of working on a Large Polysoup DTS.

Wow that looks great! We'd definitely like to use more of Max in our pipeline than constructor. Nice work.. and very encouraging.

@Orion,
I Do have alot of information on the player falling through the floor, by way of examples.
I Should probably post it in another Blog as Videos.
Thats why Im in the process of creating a rather large building using Polysoup.I have found it to be much more stable
than DIF

in my brief tests w/ polysoup in TGE (i just used the compiled .exe), i had problems w/ collision,
whereas DIFs are generally rock solid.

huh that's surprising,in my brief tests w/ polysoup in TGE (i just used the compiled .exe), i had problems w/ collision,

that is very large, with many door ways an such using polysoup and LOD. 60fps-90fps
But before that Blog, ill post my issues with DIF and Player falling through or passing through
structures. Maybe you can add the the suggestions as to why.
I make the structures purposely, so the can almost always be exported as DIF or DTS, thats how I am able to
experiment with both types of collision.

I think you'll find a write up Im going to do soon interesting then. Ill Show a building that is very large, with many door ways an such using polysoup and LOD. 60fps-90fps

As some members have older version, some I think have version 6.

Surge have you tried this process with earlier versions of 3DSMax?As some members have older version, some I think have version 6.
