GreenRobot Update
www.screencast.com/t/pkbuh4F9CmL
Ok back on the wagon got a new kit version comming out very soon.
Enemies and automated cars on tracks
An actual goal, GUI, HUD, and other tid bits.
I'm starting to make videos for it now.
- scaled it down (in terms of camera zoom), I think it "feels" better.
- switched the statemachine movement controls for a simpler implimentation.
The code is still as simple as can be so I can explain it easily.
It will be a free download at first, regulated by email password.

This reminds me of Syndicate, nice one! Is this using the Game Builder? hows it handle Isometric? much of a pain to code?

Cool, some real stuff with TGB! Looks like you have customized the layers and collision code in TGB for Isometric,

Dan, do you do freelance artwork for games? I'm looking for a good isometric artist.

The artwork is not mine. I had a subscriptiion to Turbosquid a while back, so I have lots of 3d models...

If I try to add (drag & drop) the material to the TXB material palette, it simply doesn't show up. Have you heard about a problem like this?
Thanks for the great tutorial. I like the ISO view as well.

Having problems with the mechSouthwest400x10x2Material... I'm getting a warning from Visual Studio: "Texture is too big to work on all graphics cards. This image is sized 4000x800, but many cards do not support sizes larger than 2048." Apparently mine is one of those cards. If I try to add (drag & drop) the material to the TXB material palette, it simply doesn't show up. Have you heard about a problem like this?

hmm, I'm going to see if I can add mutilple png strips to a single animation in txb- or if it has to be done in code. I'll get back to you with an answer.

OK, thanks Dan. Much appreciated! Is it possible to simply tile the mech differently? Maybe instead of 10x2, maybe 5x4 or something? This would keep tile size smaller than the width, I'm thinking. I wouldn't mind giving this a try, if you think it would work. I've only got photoshop, don't know if there would be a better way to re-tile that strip. --Adam

Adam, ya try that, cut up that png strip in photoshop and stick it back together, let me know if it works.
