Hi there fellow torquers,
The decision has been made, everything is set to go. Game Artist Illustrated Magazine (available as PDF for download online) will be released FREE of charge. Only the featured products (or workshop files) will have price tags. Information about the download location and (possibly) registration soon.
Here is a brief listing of the contents:
1. Workshops (issue #1 - Vehicle Concept art)
2. Relevant Software, upgrades, kits, packages ((issue #1 - Modernization Kit for Torque)
3. Featured game engines (issue #1 - Blade3d Engine)
4. Featured artists profile
5. Advertising
6. Information about tools and editors (XSI exporter in the first issue)
7. Interviews
8. Articles
9. Featured game projects ((issue #1 - Illumina Project)
10. When sponsors step in, artist oriented contests.
Here is the DTP part (i hate this part but now I learn to love it) showing the layout and magazine writing progress:

I will release more info as soon as I have more.

Is this available now? If so, where can I get a copy? :)

It will be available shortly, after I receive all permissions and complete some of the content. Bare in mind, everything is done by just one person, from collecting and writing down data to layout and illustrations.

WoW WoW WOW!!! You rock! Maybe get some staff to help you add to the mag, so it's more likely to stay around?

the idea is to collect in one spot all the information relevant for game artists. All packed nice and inspirational as it can be.

Maybe you should think of having a "Next Issue Teaser" in the mag, to show people what's planned for next issue.
Cant wait for this.

Sweet.... Will this be a monthly mag? Will it always have this pricing structure (only paying for workshop files)?Maybe you should think of having a "Next Issue Teaser" in the mag, to show people what's planned for next issue.
Cant wait for this.

Yeah.... I mean in the Mag itself you should have a "Next Issue Teasers" telling people what to expect in the next issue... Just to get them excited ;)
