*sings* Show me the way to go home. I'm tired and I wanna go to bed...

I had a little drink about an hour ago, and it went right to my heeeeeaaaad. */sings*

Ok, enough singing. (And no, I didn't actually have a drink -- unless you count Enviga...)

This has been a rough week, with enough amusing-in-a-really-sad-kinda-way moments to keep things interesting.

On monday I attended a wake for a close friend of the family ("close" == "my grandpa's best friend since my mom was in high school"). I got to hear all the funny little stories again, like how he and Irene (his wife) introduced themselves to my grandparents when they first moved to their home in San Jose and invited my grandparents to attend Mass with them. My grandma politely declined, noting that they were Methodist, not Catholic. Irene laughed and apologized and said "we just kind of assumed you were Catholic because of all the kids" (my grandparents had 6 children). I also learned some things I didn't know, like the fact that Don was a scientist for an aerospace firm and had invented some sort of alloy used in the lunar lander -- and that this is what ultimately killed him (respiratory damage).

Overheard at the wake: "Do you mean *aunt* Cameron, or *nephew* Cameron?"

That night I worked out again for the first time in a month. I pushed myself pretty hard too -- leg-pressed 400lbs. That finally caught up with me this morning.

And last night I wound up working an all-nighter fixing production support problems and helping a team with their product release.

Tonight I'm attending the Minna Mixer in SF. Whee.

Anyway, I hope to see some of you there! Look for me -- I'll be underdressed (t-shirt and jeans), and looking decidedly older and more worn out than my photo.

Sorry to hear all that, man...
My wife's parents are also Methodists, so I kinda had hard time to convince them to have drinks on the wedding :)

Best wishes.
