Someday never comes

Hi all, this is my first entry even though I've been a TGE owner for a long time now. Unfortunately, I've made a very common mistake. I've forgotten one very important truism, which is "Someday never comes." For me this means that if you plan on getting something done by "Someday" you will never get it done.

Getting started with goals deadlines.

So now, I am going to put my money where my mouth is and give myself some deadlines for developing my first tiny demo game with torque. I've got a few ideas that I am going to refine and figure out which would be a fun first torque game from my perspective. I'm giving myself until next Monday, the 12th of February to pick and somewhat refine my initial idea.

Unfortunately, after all this time I know very little about Torque at this point. So, I am going to have to set some "inchpebbles" rather than milestones for pulling off this project without losing focus and dropping out again.

So, I think my first "inchpebble" will just be getting a few mobs and buildings into a simple game world. I'm setting the due date for this to be next Friday.

I'll be posting more here as I hit my goals and planning for the next. If anybody is reading this and has any input or advice please feel free to comment.

Cheers.

Good way to do it, Chris. Start small and build it one step at a time. And I like the idea of setting obtainable goals.

Good luck!
