Toying with stuff

I wanted to see TGE in a more realistic setting and wanted to get a feel for scale and structure within TGE so after getting the terrain looking decent I cracked on with some interior buildings. I built a few random buildings and objects just to fill a scence.
The textures are mainly photo sourced and then photoshoped with a few exceptions being layered combos. The end result looks similar to HL2 without the DX9 tricks of course.

This stuff aint for any paticular project its just me toying with stuff but the truth is I am getting a bit bored of toying with stuff :) I would like to start a real project and hook with a programer or project, if you got something going on let me know or I will be making more random crap :P

or if you dont want to make a tutorial maybe post some tips?

I've tried making textures from photographs and they just never turn out usable. I agree, a tutorial would be most welcome :)
