'07 Silhouette Updates

With Christmas and NY just gone things have been rather busy at Silhouette Studios, outside of our Gamedev lives.
However we have been working away and have a couple of updates here for you on 2 of our In-house titles - Johnnies Piggie Bank, and Westside Pimp.
Johnnies Piggie Bank is a Financial Education game aimed at children. Using fun jobs to earn pocket money, you learn about important aspects of Financial education, whilst saving up to purchase items such as go-carts, bikes, pet animals, clothing etc. You must budget and decide best when and how to spend your money. Featuring a fully functional banking system with calculated interest, and a living stock market there are many different ways to boost your coffers!

As some of you may remember from a previous blog Westside Pimp is a 3rd person shooter with a heavy focus on trade and underground markets, involving territory control and a dynamic AI system which will really bring to life the urban environment.
Our current build involves establishing the AI, and NPC systems, as well as building up the city environment. We hope to be pushing hard for a beta release in the near future.

More screenshots can be seen on our website.
Heres to a fantastic '07!

Silhouette Studios is also currently available for fee-for-service work in both coding and art, if you are interested in a quote be sure to get in contact!

Maybe kids get even more shopping crasy after this game - or maybe... just maybe some of them learn that saving a buck to something they really really want is better. :)
Anyway good luck with the project.

Johnies Piggie Bank sounds like a real fun and interesting project. Been alot of talk in the media about ingame cash spending VS kids here in Norway - and seems younger kids looooove to spend money in games. (rl money - and ingame money).Maybe kids get even more shopping crasy after this game - or maybe... just maybe some of them learn that saving a buck to something they really really want is better. :)
Anyway good luck with the project.

Without trying to go all Spelling Fascist on you, shouldn't it be Johnny's Piggie Bank? Just that if you're pushing towards an education market, you should get the punctuation in your title correct!
Cheers from an ex-Aussie :)
