Great progress!

This weekend was a huge succes. I got more accomplished, tightened my focus and I definately know where I'm going and fairly closely how I'm going to get there.

I hired a mentor / programmer that seems to know what he's doing (more than me, at least).

I got my first vehicle in-game and mostly finished. The flight mechanics are impressive even if I do say so myself. All that's left is to get the special effects done. Contrails and jet nozzle particles are mostly all I'm interested in.

I'm almost finished with the first mountable weapon.

Although I can model halfway decently, I'm not going to spend much time on that.... I've purchased pretty much everything I need to get the game going, and anything else that I need should be easy enough to create.

Sounds are the only thing that I'm most concerned about. None of the content packs have exactly what I need, so I'll probably end up contracting someone to do the sounds.

I also got a building with a landing pad in the game, but I'm still having a tough time actually landing on it... still need to tweak it a bit before I'm happy with it, but for now I'm just going to ignore it and leave the building out.

Quick little peak:

SWEET! I wanna play!

I never thought of it when I was making that environment, but zipping around over the terrain in a Battle Zone sort combat game would be a blast!

Good job!
