Indie Interview with Mike Rubin

by Jay Barnson · 08/07/2006 (1:36 pm) · 5 comments

Mike Rubin (AKA "Rubes" here in the GarageGames community) is doing some fascinating work in bringing old-school "Interactive Fiction" (Adventure Games) into full 3D environments. His project is called "Vespers 3D", which had a beautiful development screenshot here last week.

He was gracious enough to grant me an interview last week, where we discuss his past shareware efforts, the challenges of converting an award-winning Interactive Fiction text game into a 3D world, and of course working with the Torque Game Engine.

If you are interested, the review is in two parts over at Tales of the Rampant Coyote.

Enjoy!
