I know I've talked about these guys before, but I figure it is my duty to pass on things of great value to others when I can.
The guys at Texturemonk have always provided first class texture libraries at an unbelievably low price. But recently, they started doing the same thing for 3D models!
If you've ever done like me and trawled through the insanely priced models at Turbosquid looking for useful models for your games, I'd urge you to have a look at their sister site at Modelmonk.
At only $50 for 500 models, you really cant find that kind of value anywhere else.
Even if you can't use all of them immediately for games usage, I think the value in terms of menu backgrounds, cut-scenes, or just making mockups for game concepts makes the pack amazing value.
So head on over there and check these guys out. If ever there were a bunch of people worth supporting for thier efforts in helping make content available for us indies, I think David and Leon are *the* guys!

Yeah in my last office that we did film work we had it laying around. It was useful as a base but as usual you have to taylor to your own needs even if you do pre-rendered stuff.

I got the monk 500 models a while ago, they aint the ones here though. They were more like game ones (guns, buildings, graves, pipes, swords and industrial).

The reason I ordered these models was because they looked so detailed in the thumbail gallery.
How are the models actually, any good?

I think they just used the deespona models as their preview gallery, but they have started to replace it now.http://www.modelmonk.com/cata/Modelmonk_01.html

Well if you go here http://www.modelmonk.com/cata/ you can see 4 images that aren't in the DeEspona pack, maybe those were just temp images I dunno. Has anyone else here besides John Eismann bought the pack and can tell us what's included?

[edit]There also was a part 2 of this book, that I was able to use several models from.
