Modding the Engine, Changing the Default Jump

I've just submitted my first resource about a few days ago. Its not posted in the Torque site yet, but anyway, let me just explain a little about what I was working on.
First of all, I was hired to work on a new game project by an undisclosed project and I'm supposed to be making a 3D action/platform game. Originally I was going to work in Ogre3D but I had problems with exporting the model from Lightwave (that is what the artists in the company use) so I had to change the engine and I reverted back to Torque after nearly a 3 year hiatus. During my early musings with the engine, I've found that the original torque engine is hardly suitable for making an action directly without any modificaiton. First of all there are issues with the camera, and the second major issue is about the jump. Luckily due to the resources here, there are a number of suggestions and modifications that help me get things done.
However one resource lacking was about the jumping in the game is not as I liked. As I'm making a 3D action/platform game, the jump has to jump at variable heights based on how long I press the button. The Charged Jump resource by James (BurNinG) Laker is a good place to start, but it jumps after the button is released. I did some modifications with the core engine to allow it to work. When the resource is finally posted, maybe I can point to it again. It may be a hackish approach, but at least it works as I wanted :)
The next step is I'm trying to figure how to integrate shader language into the original TGE. The TSE doesn't seem stable enough to use yet, so I'm planning to brush up my knowledge on that field (as noted I just upgraded my computer a few weeks back to work on that) and then later figure how to mod the core. I don't think it would be done any time soon, but it would be fun :P
