Another old-timer returns...

This is my first post in years. Like Phil Carlisle, I'm working my way back to the community. Hooray for prodigal sons.
Some of you may remember me from way back. I'm a former GG employee and freelance artist, having made the humvee pack, rally car pack, and explosions pack. For the past 3.5 years, I've been at Mad Otter Games in Eugene, Oregon acting as lead artist and then art director. In August, however, I'll be moving on to the next chapter of life and returning to freelancing full time. So if you need art, keep me in mind. Come August, I'll be able to help anyone who needs it!
Another item that may be of interest to this community; I'm getting back into the content pack game. I have a new, hi-res car, a couple environment packs, and a couple new explosion packs in the works. Here is a shot of my progress on a "military barriers" pack. Besides the tank trap and Czech hedgehog in the picture, I'm planning on also doing some sandbags and maybe some barbed wire for this pack.

So that's it! Check out more of my work at www.adamdegrandis.com! Glad to be back!

I just checked out your portfolio...I'm just amazed by (and a bit jealous of) folks that possess that level of artistic ability.
Very very cool.
I'm in the process of readying up a sequel for a game I did on Xbox LIVE Indie Games. The original wasn't really very good (largely because I did all the artwork myself), and this sequel is really the game I would have preferred to deliver in the first place.
I don't know if I can afford your work...but it would certainly be a huge upgrade on anything I could perform myself.
Good luck in your freelance venture.

Many thanks in advance. It's great to see a Torque veteran such as yourself return to GG. It's becoming a trend now! :)

Welcome back, Adam! I can't wait for that barriers pack! Do you have an ETA? Also, how much do you charge for a logo? Do you have any flat prices you can share? Many thanks in advance. It's great to see a Torque veteran such as yourself return to GG. It's becoming a trend now! :)

@Konrad
ETA on the barrier pack: I'll probably wrap it up the art in a week+. But then there is submitting it to GG. I don't know how the submission process differs from back in the day so I can't speak to how long that would take.
As for your logo, I'd rather not toss a quote for work out here in the comments, Konrad, but please don't hesitate to get in touch with me via my site.

Welcome back Adam, I still use your free ground textures from years ago, because I haven't found any I like better. In fact, I think I still have the barbwire pack you gave to the community years ago as well.

Welcome Back Adam! Seeing old names reappear on our site is beyond words. It gives me warm feelings...like beer cheese soup (IGC reference).

And whats up with your original packs, will you revamp them for the latest Torque and put on sale again?

I'm making new versions of the FX pack and the car pack. They aren't updates to the old packs; they're entirely new takes on the subject matter. The car is much higher detail, has a proper interior, has opening and closing doors, and generally looks a bit more sporty. The explosion pack is meant to rival any given current fps out there. The humvee will probably not be remade, but we'll see how it goes.
Again, though, all of this is contingent on the submission rules GG has in place now, of which I know nothing about. They might be wanting to do a managed portfolio or something like that, which adds some wrinkles to the whole process.

I hope it's for TGEA as well as T3D. I actually asked you about the fx pack a little while back and am glad you are doing a new one.
