Can the Torque Community buy Torque?

I discovered Torque in 2004. Torque is really a good engine. The main strength is it's community.
So Now, reading www.torquepowered.com/community/blogs/view/20495, Eric says : "InstantAction explores opportunities with potential buyers for Torque."...
So It mean that Torque isn't dead. Why Instant Action couldn't sell Torque to the community? Like blender was paying software, when they decided to stop it, community bought it, and make it bigger and free.
So.. If some Community members want to buy Torque, they should say "Yes, Torque is a good product, and I want to buy and own it."
Voilà

As stated though I would like to see what happens, but would love this as a backup.

Also get the word out there about it cause others may be willing to pitch in (hits the news). Also lay down some info about how it will be managed that we could collectively come up with, just so we where organized, prepared and everyone knew what to expected and we didn't have every person out there uploading changes. As stated though I would like to see what happens, but would love this as a backup.

I'm totally in, and ready to put money where my mouth is. I was going to buy Torque X for my sole benefit, but if I can help buy it for the world... that'd be wonderful.

Anyway I remember Brett saying how good their deal with IAC was and that they had all the assurance to be in a strong position in relation to IAC acquiring... Let me just say "Ahahah!"

Ok, I hope a solid company will buy Torque but in the other case I will be ready to put some 100$ (uhmmm 500$ maybe? ) for having it bought by the community...Anyway I remember Brett saying how good their deal with IAC was and that they had all the assurance to be in a strong position in relation to IAC acquiring...
