I have stuck to my word on the Early Adopter pricing of $10indy/$20commercial. For a few days at least...I will explain...

I have been asked this by several people: "why is it so cheap when it saves so much time ?!?!"...and I have no real answer I guess. So buy it now before I come to my senses and raise the price!

Future plans for Doit! are listed here: Support Forums
You can make suggestions there as well.

So.....
HERE IS THE STORE PAGE LINK! BUY TODAY!
Inside of the package:
the Doit! files, license agreement, install directions, changelog and a short install video for lazy people. :P

Cheers and Enjoy everyone...happy exporting!
- eb

1. Early Adopter purchase price is only available until Friday(March 6th,2009) at midnight!(NY,usa time)
**Denotes that future versions should work as well.
- To use Doit!, you will need a license file in your local install. The install directions text file and the install video covers these simple steps.
------------------------------------------------

@Licensees:
Here is a macro script to allow an icon button for Doit! on your toolbar...so that you don't need to >RunScript>Doit! to show the panel.
(as usual there is a small install vid for those who may not know how)
with video(<1kb)
without video(4MB)

The Adjust_Lods.mcr can be found in this package: "torque_max_filepack.zip"

Hey Eb,
Purchased 2 of the indie Doit thru paypal but didn't get the download page either. I think i might have a possible answer to that problem though, i use Firefox with the NoScript extension addon. NoScript might have blocked something. I am kinda new to FireFox.

As for suggested pricing, wow, that's a hard call. Your program is a great one. How about $30 - $40 indie and maybe $60 - $80 commercial? Might be high to some folks but that's the minimum prices that I would think its worth. What does everyone else think?

Anyway, sent you a email Eb about missing the download.

I don't use 3dsMax (I'm not a modeler) but I can imagine how much time this tool saves. You can see what you get before you buy (videos) and excellent support is guaranteed (I know that because I'm working with eb for some years now).
I suggest a price of $25 indie and $39 commercial because the saved time is worth much, much more for every user!

@David I purchased mine through Firefox and Paypal as well. No Script doesn't block anything. The download link is a manual process ... after you make the payment through PayPal it stays on the PayPal screen and doesn't automatically redirect you back to the DoIt download page.

Hidden somewhere on the PayPal page is a link that says, return to Vendor ... as soon as you click that you get your download. :)

@Eb I think the software is extremely valuable ... I wouldn't want to suggesst a price because I am an early adopter and I think it would be unfair of me to suggest a price when I got it for a very very very reasonable price.

Where can the "adjustLODs.mcr" file be found, I know the installation says its not required, but you said the panel will break if the lodgui-button or the LODME-button is used. I tried using the search up top and couldn't find anything, no current links to where the file can be found.

Good Morning, I would have replied sooner but I have to sleep at some point. :P

@David Dowdy:
I emailed your link a few moments ago. Sorry for the trouble.

@ALL:
I updated the Doit! store page to give information about returning to the vendor. I apologize for any inconvenience. You can always post your issue here or drop me an email. I usually respond within a few hours...but usually within the same day.

@SGB Gem:
The file you need is found in the"torque_max_filepack.zip" ..and if it is missing, the panel won't "break"...but it will have to restarted on most versions of max. As easy as runscript>doit. Or just use the buttonscript I added to this thread...then you only need to close the open panel and click the button to re-open Doit!.

Cheers

One suggestion for the next update... Applying the box trick through Doit is great, as it retains the name of the mesh and its place in the hierarchy, but it moves the mesh to the current layer in the Layer Manager, instead of leaving it in the layer it was in before.

Not a big deal at all, but I've become pretty obsessive about organizing in Layers over the years.

Sure, added to list(hand written list).

Good to see that EB is on the ball here at GG.
What I mean is that the file 'torque_max_filepack' is linked here with Doit! which is great.

Somebody needs to get the documentation section to include the link for this file there too, since I went to Read The Manual(RTM) before I asked questions for my exporting from 3ds Max.
The documentation thread just reads that it's currently unavailable.

In any case, it's really good to see that EB has the file linked.
Thanks EB :-)
