Final TSE Starter.fps port v1.3...

Some time last year, I released the starter.fps port I did so TSE owners could do more with TSE.
After I released the port, I kept getting requests for the tse.exe so non TSE owners could try it out... so I released the "Unofficial TSE demo"
Since then, the "Starter.Fps Port" has had over 1000 downloads and the "Unofficial TSE demo" has had around 1100 downloads. (264 downloads this month already)
With GG saying they might be using legions as the new TSE starter.fps pack, it guess I don't need to carry on updating and releasing the port anymore. (Unless they say otherwise)
So, below are the final download links:
v1.3 for TSE projects using MS2 or below: "starterfpsport1_3.zip" (23MB)
v1.3.5 for TSE projects using MS3: "starterfpsport1_3_5.zip" (18MB)
(File size is smaller because I used a better compression setting)
And the v1.3 "Unofficial TSE demo" (which uses MS2) "starterfpsport1_3 demo.zip" (24MB)
(if you get a "missing directx dll" error message, you can download the file from "here")
Thank you to everyone that have downloaded the files... it's been fun working on them :)

@Bryan - I figured as much to fix it, but since I'm just now starting to use TSE, I wanted to make sure that adding it in init would be the proper way to go about fixing it.

heh its initRenderInstManager(); I just copied and pasted over. :P BTW this works great and thank you sir!

initRenderInstManager(); after
loadMaterials(); in init.cs in the starter.fps/client/init.cs, seemed simple enough. But I keep getting the same error.
Thanks much;

Bryan or anyone. I am getting the same error and followed your instructions of putting the call:initRenderInstManager(); after
loadMaterials(); in init.cs in the starter.fps/client/init.cs, seemed simple enough. But I keep getting the same error.
Thanks much;

It's easily fixed by adding the function to client init.cs like bryan said. Now let's figure out how to get starter.racing working ;)

Well not easily fixed because it still don't work here. My last CVS was 7/1/06 and that was right after the MS 3.5 release announcement. Appreciate any other suggestions for fixing it.Thanks

right after the cvs announcement like 100 updates so you need to get the cvs update again

Ok I downloaded the new CVS on 7/12/06 and followed the instructions above and still get the same error. I don't understand and will work on it later.

Did you clear .dso's? Step through it till you get to that part and see what happens.

No, it can't be a 5600 issue, because I get 150-200 FPS normally... Check the video drivers. The newer Nvidia drivers work better and faster than the old ones. Check the DirectX version too. Still, 20-30 FPS is acceptable... Better than a TNT2! :) I probably got average 15 fps on those...
