Tower models.
When Orcs Attack...Well, just what you always wanted! An image intensive post!
Been working with Jon on When Orcs Attack! lately, your "standard" Tower Defense game with an awful lot of twists. =)
Anyway, I won't get too wordy, enjoy the images. I'll just paste from the "marketing material".
Casual game, with depth.
Graphics that shame the competition.
Aimed at web, with "premium" download.
Five devastating towers:
--- Arrow
--- Fire
--- Lightning
--- Ice
--- Radiation
Four powerful spells:
--- Teleport
--- Fog
--- Bait
--- Weaken
26 enemy variants.
Four game modes, including a unique Capture the Flag type.
Had to pry laptop away from test audience.
In other news...
In other news, I'll be heading out to IGC next month, got my plane tickets booked so if you'll be there be sure to say hi.

Gameplay is similar to Gauntlet? Tell some more ;-)

No, like Desktop Tower Defense. Sort of. You place down your towers and try to prevent the little orcs from moving across the screen.

Is that TGE?
It is not torque at all, no.

Would you explain a little your development process?
Depends what you want to know. I'm sure Jon will hop in eventually (he's currently busy at AGDC) and explain things more thoroughly.
Basically the idea is rapid development, less than 3 months per game sort of thing.

Web based? what tech?
Web based is a big thing for this yes... We're using Unity. There's many things that can be said about Unity, but the fact that you can instantly build versions for OSX, windows and most importantly; web based IS damn nice.
One part I left out from the "marketing material" is that the web based build is currently about 5.5mb (but streamed so the main menu comes up after just a mb). Not too bad.

I'm currently two weeks away from shipping -- it's just big fixes and game balance at this point.

Is there a Demo or Beta that we can try?
