The Year Long Cycle and IGC

A number of projects that came out of last year's biz-dev cycle are now coming together, interestingly enough, at the same time - hey it's IGC season. In fact some of the projects will celebrate their one year anniversary since inception with a release party (what better way? :).

Others, like Constructor, have just passed the one year development mark (since Synapse Gaming's involvement), and are looking fantastic.

In fact one of the bigger projects here at Synapse Gaming just wrapped up and I'm very glad to see this thing finally going out the door. The project itself was not long, just on a rather accelerated development cycle, and a lot of energy and effort went into it. It'll be interesting to see the software in the wild, and to see the crazy things people do with it.

Work doesn't slow down though, not with IGC on the horizon. There are always other projects to take the front-and-center, and in this case those are also mostly complete and heading into the home stretch.

And what about Constructor? Constructor just hit beta 7, which is nearly feature complete, and the response from our beta testers has been very encouraging (that's an understatement :).

Two months till IGC...

Wasn't Constructor Beta 2 already nearly feature-complete?

Stefan is right. Too long between your blogs :)

I agree, but it always seems like the things I want to talk about are under NDA - and I feel weird posting really cryptic blogs. :/ But I'll certainly try to post more frequently, even if I have to be vague with the details. :)

Constructor beta 2 had a lot of the core features in place. Some of the missing components were added in the last few weeks, like undo/redo and an awesome set of texturing tools. Plus a large part of the beta program is geared towards user feedback and making sure Constructor is as flexible and easy to use as possible, so there is always a lot of tuning and tweaking going on.

John, anything you can tell us about the TLK Night Cycles project revealed at last IGC? I'm really looking forward to this one and am hoping that is what is about to be released :)

Always great to hear what you're up to John, can't wait to find out what it is :)

TLK Night Cycles was one of my favourite things to come out of the last IGC. Any news on that would be gratefully received.

The Night Cycles technology has a new home in an upcoming product for Torque, which should be starting its development cycle soon. :)
