- Data swabbing is the art of rearranging data from one format to another. That pretty well describes my prior game world accomplishments. Before I started messing with games, I wrote assemblers, compilers and linkers. They are also examples of data swabbing, or conversion from one format to another.
Recent years have been spent modding The Sims 2 game, and there are a string of mesh and animation support plugins for MilkShape I authored (as user wes_h). If you have a copy of MilkShape, then you probably have those plugins, as they are shipped with the updates since version 1.7.8 or so. Some of you might have used the BoneTool to add extra bone assignments and weights to use with the DTSPlus exporter. I also contributed a patch to the MilkShape OGRE exporter to add extra assignments and weights to that.
I don\'t have a specific plan for Torque, but I have been using it here as a testbed for some of my homebrew experiments. Everything I know about programming has been learned via independent study... heck I wanted to study economics, but never finished school due to, well, applied economics.
I retired once before, from an engineering position in the wireless telephone industry (cellphones). Check my website for a link to my patents and you can see who I worked for. Now, I raise cattle... my avatar is one of the \'gals\' here.
If you have some specific ideas for a project, I will listen, but I am most comfortable with making importers, exporters and parsers rather than game code.
