- Summary:
- Hobbyist programmer:
I have some limited formal education (a "diploma" / certificate) in computer programming, but mostly I am self-taught. Quite some time ago, I have used tools like EA's Adventure Construction Set (ACS) for Commodore 64, Garry Kitchen's Gamemaker for the Commodore 64, STOS for Atari ST, HiSoft Basic for ST, Wacom DOS 4GW 32bit flat memory model environment C++, Borland C++, Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0, Microsoft Access database Developer edition, Javascript, and now more recently, XNA. I am learning XNA and TGE.
Hobbyist musician:
I have played around with various versions of Cubase on and off through a period of years, (even way back on the legacy Atari ST 16 bit computer!)
Hobbyist artist:
I have made some oil paintings, as well as some digital graphics, using packages like Koala Paint (C64), Calamus (ST), CorelDraw 3.0 - 9.0, Corel Photopaint, Imagine LT, Calligari TrueSpace, Adobe Photoshop CS3, Adobe Illustrator CS3 and others.
Hobbyist game developer:
I have in past years experimented with game design, art asset creation, audio asset creation, and computer programming to fuse it all together. However, I have never really yet created anything which can be marketed, but I intend to in my spare time begin to produce some tangible, marketable products (games). I intend to become as it is called "a weekend warrior" programmer initially, and hopefully a full-time indie developer in the future.
