Modern Air Combat Starter Kit Update & Add-on Released

Hello everyone!

MACSK has been updated to T3D MIT 3.0 and a new aircraft add-on pack has been released; the A-10 Warthog! Here is a quick change log of the changes with version 1.2 of MACSK:

• Renamed turret.cpp to SAMTurret.cpp
• objectTypes.h: renamed TurretObjectType to GroundTargetObjectType
• SAMTurret.cpp: reassigned typeMask from TurretObjectType to GroundTargetObjectType
• Fixed shapeBase teamMask bug
• Updated aircraft select code to set the skin on the client
• Updated the aircraft assets to DAE format and removed all old art
• Updated to T3D 3.0
• Added some variables to give more control to AI aircraft
• Updated aircraft class methods to better reflect their functionality
• Removed unused variables from the aircraft class
• Redid the gravity calculation
• Updated F16 & F18 datablocks to fly more realistically
• Redid the speed based control dampening calculations (stall & transonic+)
• Updated docs to represent the new way to handle aircraft skins
• Added an "engine" animation for the A10 add-on

There are plans in the near future for another MACSK release that will include support for landing and taking off as well as VTOL support and possibly adding an option for fuel consumption.
Anyone who has bought MACSK can go grab the update for free from the Ignition Games Store or if you purchased it here on GG, were in the process of getting the updated version on their site. Additionally, if you havent bought MACSK yet the price has been reduced to $45. Right now this new pricing is available only through the Ignition Games Store.


Next up we have the new A-10 Warthog add-on pack for MACSK, available only on the Ignition Games Store. The pack is priced at $20 and you can read about whats included on the product page here. Here is an action screenshot for the required eye-candy.



With this release, Ignition Games is looking for artists who enjoy modeling aircraft and would be willing to build more aircraft add-on packs that are MACSK compatible to sell for a high royalty.
