Let me start by saying that GarageGames has been a huge part of my life for nearly 12 years. In that time I've messed with the engine, created a whole bunch of extensions for TGE like the foliage and shape replicators, sunlight lens-flares, shoreline rendering, lighting etc then I moved on and created Torque 2D with the intent of releasing it for free but which became TGB only to eventually come full circle and be released for free as open source as Torque 2D.

We have pushed an update to Torque 2D's master branch, which warrants a post about all the changes you should know about. Some are flashy, some are basic, while others are going to completely change your work flow (in a good way).
